Studies that investigate the accuracy of digital implant impression often focus on the position of the scanbody, which represents the position and angulation of the implant fixture. Literature reviews indicate that factors such as the design and materials of the scanbody, types of intraoral scanners, software system, the level, inclination, distance, and position of dental implants, the scanning environment, and the operator’s skill can affect the accuracy of digital dental implant impressions. The objective of this review article is to provide an overview of method for digital dental implant impression using scanbody and intraoral scanner, as well as to discuss the factors that can impact accuracy, for further advancements in clinical applications.Downloads
