บทบาทและหน้าที่ของบรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ
Roles and duties of editors and editorial team
• บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการของวิทยาสารทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ (SWU Dent J.) มีนโยบายและหน้าที่ในกระบวนการคัดเลือกบทความที่จะลงตีพิมพ์ที่มีคุณภาพและมีความทันสมัยในด้านวิชาการ เพื่อการเผยแพร่ผลงานตามมาตรฐานที่สากลยอมรับและตรงตามเป้าหมายของวารสาร โดยมีแนวทางปฏิบัติด้านจริยธรรมการตีพิมพ์ดังต่อไปนี้
• The editor and editorial team has responsibilities in the process of selecting articles for publishing in order to meet the goals of the SWU Dent J, by achieving the high quality of academic work in the field with updated information according to the international standards. The SWU Dent J has the following ethical guidelines:
1. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการต้องปกป้องเนื้อหาในต้นฉบับทั้งหมด รวมทั้งข้อมูลของผู้นิพนธ์และผู้ประเมินบทความกับผู้ที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้องต่อกระบวนการพิจารณา ก่อนที่บทความนั้นจะได้รับการตีพิมพ์เผยแพร่ ทั้งนี้ในกระบวนการจะไม่มีการเปิดเผยข้อมูลต่อกันระหว่างผู้ประเมินและผู้นิพนธ์
1. The editor and editorial team must protect the confidentiality of original content of the submitted manuscript, information of the authors and article reviewers to those who not involved in the process before publishing. The information among the authors and reviewers is a double-blinded peer review process.
2. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ พิจารณาเลือกผู้ประเมินบทความที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญในสาขาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเนื้อหา โดยผู้ประเมินเป็นผู้ที่มีจริยธรรมและทัศนคติที่ดี ไม่สังกัดหน่วยงานเดียวกันกับผู้นิพนธ์ และไม่มีความขัดแย้งหรือผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อนใด ๆ กับผู้นิพนธ์ กระบวนการประเมินจะสื่อสารระหว่างกันผ่านกองบรรณาธิการอย่างเป็นอิสระจากผู้นิพนธ์
2. The editor and editorial team consider selecting the reviewers with expertise in the field related to an article. The reviewers should be ethical, good attitude, not affiliated with the same organization as the author and no conflict of interest with the authors. The assessment process is communicated with each other only through the editorial team independently from the authors.
3. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ ดำเนินตามกระบวนการโดยปราศจากอคติต่อผู้เขียนและผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน
3. The editor and editorial team proceeds without bias against the authors and no conflict of interest.
4. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ มีหน้าที่ตรวจสอบเนื้อหาต้นฉบับที่ส่งมา หากพบว่าเป็นบทความที่เคยตีพิมพ์หรือเผยแพร่ในวารสารอื่นมาก่อน หรือตรวจพบการคัดลอกผลงาน บทความดังกล่าวจะถูกถอนจากกระบวนการตีพิมพ์
4. The editor and editorial team has responsibilities to investigate the submitted manuscript. If the article has already been published in other journals or plagiarism is evident, the editorial team has eligibility to withdraw the articles.
5. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ มีสิทธิตัดสินใจที่จะยอมรับหรือปฏิเสธบทความเพื่อตีพิมพ์ โดยจะพิจารณาจากความถูกต้องตามหลักวิชาการ ความใหม่ ความชัดเจน ความสอดคล้องของเนื้อหาบทความกับเป้าหมายและขอบเขตของวารสารเป็นสำคัญ
5. The editor and editorial team has the right to accept or reject an article for publication by consideration the academic correctness, recent data, clarity and consistency of the content relying on the scope and goals of the journal.
6. บรรณาธิการและกองบรรณาธิการ มีหน้าที่ดูแลปรับปรุงข้อมูลเว็บไซต์ให้ทันสมัยเพื่อให้ผู้ใช้บริการได้รับความสะดวกในการเข้าถึงข้อมูล
6. The editor and editorial team has responsibilities to maintain an up-to-date data for the users, in order to access the website conveniently.

บทบาทและหน้าที่ของผู้ประเมินบทความ
Roles and duties of reviewers
• บทความต้นฉบับทุกบทความต้องผ่านกระบวนการประเมินจากผู้ประเมินที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญในสาขาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเนื้อหาของต้นฉบับอย่างน้อย 2-3 ท่าน โดยผู้ประเมินบทความต้นฉบับมีแนวทางปฏิบัติด้านจริยธรรมการตีพิมพ์ดังต่อไปนี้
• All original articles must be evaluated by at least 2-3 reviewers who have expertise in the subject area of the manuscript by following the ethical guidelines.

1. ต้นฉบับที่ได้รับถือเป็นเอกสารลับ ผู้ประเมินต้องรักษาความลับของบทความที่ประเมิน ต้องไม่เผยแพร่ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับต้นฉบับกับผู้อื่นในระหว่างการประเมิน จนกว่าบทความนั้นจะได้รับการพิจารณาตีพิมพ์และเผยแพร่ในวารสารอย่างเป็นทางการ ควรทำลายเอกสารต้นฉบับเมื่อเสร็จสิ้นการประเมิน
1. The manuscripts are classified as the confidential documents. The reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of article contents throughout the assessments until officially published in the SWU Dent J. The documents of manuscript will be destroyed upon completion.
2. ผู้ประเมินต้องประเมินบทความตามกรอบเวลา ให้ข้อเสนอแนะด้วยความเที่ยงธรรม ปราศจากความอคติ ความลำเอียง และไม่ควรใช้ความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวที่ปราศจากหลักฐานทางวิชาการที่น่าเชื่อถือได้ มาเป็นเกณฑ์ในการตัดสินบทความ
2. The reviewers must evaluate an article on a time frame, give feedback with fairness and without bias and should not give a personal opinion without credible and obvious academic information for judging articles.
3. เมื่อผู้ประเมินตรวจพบความผิดปกติในบทความต้นฉบับ ปัญหาที่ผิดจรรยาบรรณ ได้แก่ การคัดลอกผลงาน หรือการทับซ้อนกันระหว่างต้นฉบับที่กำลังพิจารณากับบทความที่ตีพิมพ์ในวารสารอื่น ๆ ผู้ประเมินควรรายงานสิ่งที่พบเหล่านี้ต่อบรรณาธิการพร้อมกับหลักฐานการอ้างอิงที่เกี่ยวข้อง
3. When the reviewers detect misconduct, unethical problems such as plagiarism between the manuscripts under consideration and the articles published in other journals, reviewers should report to the editor along with the relevant evidences.
4. เนื้อหาในต้นฉบับจากกระบวนการประเมินซึ่งยังไม่ได้เผยแพร่ จะต้องไม่ถูกนำไปใช้ในงานวิจัยของผู้ประเมินบทความโดยไม่ได้รับความยินยอมเป็นลายลักษณ์อักษรจากผู้นิพนธ์โดยผ่านทางกองบรรณาธิการ ข้อมูลหรือแนวคิดที่ได้รับการประเมินจะต้องถูกเก็บเป็นความลับ ไม่คัดลอกและนำไปใช้เพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนตน
4. The unpublished content of manuscript in the revision process must not be utilized in the research of reviewers unless the written consent of the authors are obvious through the editorial board. All information and ideas must be kept confidential. The reviewers do not copy and utilize for personal benefits.
5. ผู้ประเมินที่ถูกเลือกเพื่อประเมินต้นฉบับ หากพิจารณาว่าเนื้อหาในต้นฉบับไม่ตรงตามสาขาที่เชี่ยวชาญหรือไม่สามารถประเมินต้นฉบับได้ตามข้อกำหนดหรือกรอบเวลา ต้องแจ้งบรรณาธิการและปฏิเสธที่จะเข้าร่วมในกระบวนการประเมิน
5. The reviewers, assigned to evaluate the manuscript, must notify the editor and refuse to review the articles if find that the content does not meet the area of expertise or cannot assess the manuscript on a requirement or a time frame.

บทบาทและหน้าที่ของผู้นิพนธ์
Roles and duties of authors
• ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องมีความซื่อสัตย์ มีคุณธรรม จริยธรรมและจรรยาบรรณในการดำเนินงานวิจัยและการเขียนผลงาน ไม่บิดเบือนข้อมูลและไม่สร้างข้อมูลที่เป็นเท็จ โดยผู้นิพนธ์ที่จัดส่งต้นฉบับเพื่อตีพิมพ์ใน SWU Dent J. มีแนวทางปฏิบัติด้านจริยธรรมการตีพิมพ์ดังต่อไปนี้
• The authors must have honesty, morality and ethics in conducting research and writing their works for publication. The authors who submit the manuscripts should not misrepresent or make false information and must follow the ethical guidelines.
1. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องจัดทำต้นฉบับตามรูปแบบและมาตรฐานของวิทยาสารทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒอย่างเคร่งครัด
1. The authors must prepare a manuscript in accordance with the format and standards of the SWU Dent J strictly.
2. ใช้ภาษาเขียนที่เหมาะสมตามหลักวิชาการทั้งในภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ กรณีที่เขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษควรตรวจทานภาษาให้ถูกต้องตามหลักไวยากรณ์ก่อนส่งต้นฉบับ กรณีที่ผู้นิพนธ์ไม่ใช่เจ้าของภาษาควรจะปรึกษาหน่วยงานบริการตรวจภาษาอังกฤษก่อนส่งต้นฉบับ
2. Use academically written language appropriately both in Thai and English version. In English writing, the authors should review for grammatically correct language before submitting the manuscript. Non-native English user should consult with the English language editing service prior to manuscript submission.
3. ผู้นิพนธ์ต้องรับรองว่าต้นฉบับถูกดำเนินการโดยผู้นิพนธ์และผู้ร่วมนิพนธ์จริง มิได้สร้างข้อมูลอันเป็นเท็จ หรือคัดลอกผลงาน ข้อความหรือความคิดเห็นของผู้อื่นมาเป็นของตน หากตรวจพบความซ้ำซ้อนหรือมีการลอกเลียนข้อมูลที่ซ้ำกันของต้นฉบับมากเกิน 30% ต้นฉบับนั้นจะถูกถอนออก
3. The authors must certify that the original content of manuscript is done among the author and co-authors. The authors do not create false information or duplicated data of results, contents or opinions. If the plagiarized or duplicated data of research work is over 30%, the manuscript will be withdrawn.
4. ผู้นิพนธ์ควรระบุข้อมูลของผู้นิพนธ์ทั้งหมด ได้แก่ หน่วยงานที่สังกัด และแหล่งทุนสนับสนุนในการทำวิจัย กรณีที่มีผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน ผู้นิพนธ์ควรระบุผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อนลงในบทความด้วย
4. The authors should provide sufficient information of all authors including of the affiliation and funding sources for the research. If there is any case of conflicts of interest, the authors should also indicate.
5. งานวิจัยที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับจริยธรรมการวิจัยหรือการดำเนินการใด ๆ กับมนุษย์หรือสัตว์ทดลอง จะต้องผ่านการรับรองจริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์หรือสัตว์ทดลอง โดยผู้นิพนธ์ต้องระบุเลขที่ใบรับรองและส่วนงานที่ออกใบรับรองนั้นลงใบบทความด้วย
5. In the research involving humans and animals, the research ethic must be obtained and the certificate number as well as certification authority must be presented in the manuscript.
6. ต้นฉบับที่ส่งมานั้นต้องเป็นผลงานใหม่ ไม่เคยได้รับการตีพิมพ์ที่ใดมาก่อน และต้องไม่อยู่ในระหว่างการเสนอเพื่อพิจารณาตีพิมพ์ในวารสารอื่น หรือเป็นบทความฉบับเต็มที่ได้ตีพิมพ์เผยแพร่ในรายงานสืบเนื่องจากการประชุมวิชาการ
6. The submitted manuscript must be a new work, has never been published elsewhere and must not be in the submission process for publishing in other journals or has not been published in a full paper of conference proceedings.
7. ผู้นิพนธ์ควรจัดเตรียมต้นฉบับและตรวจสอบเนื้อหาให้เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานของการเขียนบทความทางวิชาการ การทบทวนวรรณกรรมควร มีรายละเอียดและการอ้างอิงที่เพียงพอ เพื่อให้ผู้อื่นนำไปศึกษาต่อยอดได้ ข้อมูลอ้างอิงจะต้องมีความสอดคล้องกับงานวิจัย และอ้างอิงท้ายบทความต้นฉบับจะต้องสามารถถูกสืบค้นได้จริง หากมีความจำเป็นต้องนำไดอะแกรม กราฟ และภาพประกอบจากแหล่งข้อมูลก่อนหน้านี้ หรือบทความอื่น ๆ มาดัดแปลง ต้องได้รับอนุญาติจากเจ้าของผลงานอย่างเป็นลายลักษณ์อักษรเสียก่อน และผู้นิพนธ์ต้องอ้างอิงแหล่งที่มาของข้อมูลเมื่อนำผลงานของผู้อื่นมาใช้ในผลงาน ของตนเองพร้อมทั้งจัดทำรายการอ้างอิงท้ายบทความตามรูปแบบอย่างเคร่งครัด
7. The authors should prepare the manuscript and check the content according to the academic writing standards. A literature review should include sufficient details and references, in order for further study of the others. Information from reference sources must be consistent with the research and all references presented must be valid. If any use or modification of diagrams, graphs, and illustrations from previous sources, the authors must have written consent and provide the copy right data or documents for acceptance in the reuse or modification along with the references at the end of the manuscript.
8. ต้นฉบับที่ส่งมาต้องเกิดจากผลงานวิจัยที่เกิดขึ้นจากการทำวิจัยจริง ไม่ได้มีการปรุงแต่ง บิดเบือน แก้ไข ดัดแปลงข้อมูล ตัวเลข หรือภาพใด ๆ เพื่อประโยชน์อย่างหนึ่งอย่างใด
8. The research work of manuscript must be existent. No information and figures are made up, distorting or tampering for benefits.
9. ผู้นิพนธ์ทุกคนที่มีชื่อปรากฏในบทความต้องรับทราบ และได้รับความเห็นชอบต่อการดำเนินการต่าง ๆ ของต้นฉบับ และต้องรับผิดชอบรวมทั้งตอบสนองต่อข้อเสนอแนะและข้อโต้แย้งทางวิชาการของผู้ประเมิน แต่อย่างไรก็ตามการตัดสินใจขั้นสุดท้ายจะขึ้นกับดุลยพินิจของกองบรรณาธิการก่อนดำเนินการเผยแพร่
9. The authors whose names appear in the article must accept and approve for the various actions in the evaluating process of the manuscript. All authors must be responsible and response to the reviewer's suggestions and academic arguments of the reviewers. However, the final decision depends on the editorial team before publishing.

จริยธรรมในการทำวิจัย
Research Ethics 
- งานวิจัยที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับจริยธรรมการวิจัยหรือการดำเนินการใด ๆ กับมนุษย์หรือสัตว์ทดลอง  จะต้องได้รับการรับรองแล้ว โดยผู้นิพนธ์ต้องระบุเลขที่ใบรับรองและส่วนงานที่ออกใบรับรองนั้นลงใบบทความด้วย
- In the research involving humans and animals, the research ethic must be obtained and the certificate number as well as certification authority must be presented in the manuscript.
