Abstract

The purposed of this research were to studied and compare mathematical abilities in Numbers and Operations in Prathom Sueksa 3 students with Mathematics Difficulty, using direct instruction with augmented reality technology (AR). The target group for this research was 3 students who had difficulty in numeracy counting, studied in the 1st Semester of Academic year 2020. The research instruments were 1) the cardinal Numbers mathematics problem survey 2) Mathematics lesson plans using direct method with augmented reality technology (AR), 3) AR application installation and use guide, 4) Developmental in Numbers and Operations through Direct instruction book And 5) the Numeracy counting test. The participated students were taught 4 times a week (50 minutes each time), 6 weeks long and test mathematical abilities 2 times including 26 times. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, percentage, development score, efficiency of learning aids and presenting with graphs. The results showed that 1) The numeracy counting skills of students with Mathematics difficulty who participated in learning activities using direct method combined with augmented reality (AR) technology were excellent (Mean = 88.89)2) After the experiment, students with Mathematics difficulty had higher scores than before with an average development score was 72.03. and 3) The efficiency of augmented reality (AR) on numeracy was 82/89 Keywords: Numbers and Operations, Mathematical Abilities, Student with Mathematics Difficulty, Direct Instruction, Augmented reality (AR)
