Abstract

To vaccinate a 6-month old child with Pediacel® (pertussis, diphtheria,tetanus, injectable polio, and Hib) pharmacists need to consider anotherproduct which contains hepatitis B vaccine. With availability of InfanrixHexaTM, risk from multiple injections is minimized. For alleviatingvaccination-related fever, paracetamol dosage must be promptly calculatedaccording to the child’s weight.
