การจัดสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to develop ideas which assist in the modifications of public buildings and public areas in Nakhon-Nayok so that they are equipped with facilities that foster the needs of older people. It presents suggestions for appropriate public park management model so that they accommodate older people users. Public areas and buildings of interest surveyed for this article included the provincial office building, bus terminal, tourist attractions, parks and walkways. It was found that many public buildings already have facilities for older people and areas showing that there is awareness by relevant offices and preparation have been made in this town for the growing aging population and the older people society.  However, there are many facilities that needs to be adapted to suit the needs of the older people which is a bit different from the disabled including toilets, signs, ramps, stairways, parking space and walkways. Another part of this article is on the design for public parks which facilitates the needs of older people as well as other users. Therefore, zoning of the area is proposed for this purpose. Public parks should allocate their areas for 4 main purposes including the rest area, older people activity area, outdoor activity area and exercise equipment area. The zoning as suggested in this model helps to solve the problem of limited space and congestions and furthermore, the park area can be zoned according to the needs and objectives of each community. Keyword: Facilities, Older People, Nakhon-Nayokบทคัดย่อ บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเสนอแนวความคิดในการปรับปรุงอาคารและสถานที่สาธารณะในเขตจังหวัดนครนายกด้านการจัดเตรียมสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ พร้อมทั้งเสนอรูปแบบการจัดสวนสาธารณะให้มีพื้นที่สำหรับผู้สูงอายุ จากข้อมูลการสำรวจอาคาร และสถานที่สาธารณะ ได้แก่ ศูนย์ราชการจังหวัด สถานีขนส่งผู้โดยสาร แหล่งท่องเที่ยว สวนสาธารณะ และทางเดินเท้า พบว่า อาคารและสถานที่สาธารณะหลายแห่งมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับผู้สูงอายุพอสมควร แสดงถึงความตระหนักของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องที่จะพัฒนาเมืองเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสู่การเป็นสังคมผู้สูงอายุ แต่เพื่อให้อาคารและสถานที่สาธารณะมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกที่เหมาะสมกับบริบทของสังคมผู้สูงอายุมากขึ้น จึงควรปรับปรุงสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ ได้แก่ ห้องส้วม ป้ายแสดงสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก ทางลาด บันได ที่จอดรถ และทางเท้า ส่วนแนวคิดการออกแบบสวนสาธารณะให้เป็นสถานที่สาธารณะที่ดี สามารถทำกิจกรรมได้หลากหลายเหมาะสำหรับผู้สูงอายุและบุคคลทุกวัย จึงเสนอรูปแบบสวนสาธารณะที่มีทางวิ่งโดยรอบ และแบ่งพื้นที่เป็น 4 ส่วน คือ โซนพักผ่อน โซนกิจกรรมผู้สูงอายุ โซนลานกิจกรรมกลางแจ้ง และโซนเครื่องออกกำลังกาย  แนวคิดดังกล่าวยังสามารถช่วยแก้ปัญหาในกรณีที่มีพื้นที่จำกัด เนื่องจากสามารถเลือกจัดสวนสาธารณะแบบแยกส่วนให้สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ของแต่ละชุมชน คำสำคัญ: สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก  ผู้สูงอายุ  จังหวัดนครนายก
