Abstract

The study of semantic prime has long been a source of interest and research amonglinguists. The focus of the study involves not only an attempt to understand semantic primemeaning, but it also includes the use of semantic prime in analyzing linguistic data. The latterhas prompted debate and divided scholars into two separate camps holding opposing viewson the issue.
