About the Journal

VISITSILP - THAI JOURNAL OF ARTS

is a peer reviewed journal on the discourse on fine art, including dance, music, theatre, visual art, design and art education and culture by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand. This journal is concerned with research and practise-based research results and output of the study of dance, music, theatre, visual art, design, art education and culture.

VISITSILP employs a double-blind review process. Contributions in English with 6,000-8000 words for the research article, 5000 words for a review article and 1500 for a book review. All articles must include a background, literature review, theoretical and conceptual framework, methodology, findings, analysis and discussions. All citations and references must follow the latest APA style.

As an open-access journal, this journal aims to:

  1. Connect the gap between scholarship in the multi-discipline of art studies, particularly dance, music, theatre, visual art, design, art education, and culture.
  2. Bridge the global, regional and local knowledge and information on art, education and culture.
  3. Digest a contextual analysis of issues and themes of art, education and cultural studies.
  4. Reflect on the relationship between theory and practice in arts and Humanities global, regional and local.
  5. Provide an international platform for discourse between academics, researchers, and practitioners in art, education and cultural studies.

 

SCOPE

VISITSILP is a multi-discipline international journal that broadly focuses on research results of fine art, including dance, music, theatre, visual art, design and art education and culture. More specifically, VISITSILP Journal seeks to promote critical research on a range of interrelated issues globally, regionally and locally about art, education and cultural issues.
