ความพึงพอใจของนิสิตและอาจารย์ต่อการใช้บริการห้องฝึกปฏิบัติการพยาบาล คณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTORS’ SATISFACTION TOWARDS LABORATORY SERVICES OF FACULTY OF NURSING, SRINAKHARINWIROT UNIVERSITY
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the students and instructors’ satisfaction towards laboratory services of the Faculty of Nursing, Srinakharinwirot University.Methods: This descriptive cross sectional study consisted of the 345 samples including the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of 313 students and 32 instructors who had experiences in using laboratory services. The instruments consisted of personal questionnaire and the satisfaction questionnaire towards the laboratory services covering five aspects (step of services, personnel, tools and equipment, duration, and facilities).Results The study revealed that the relevancy value and content validity index of the satisfaction questionnaire towards the laboratory services was .89 and .82, respectively. Also, the reliability coefficient presented very good value as .91. Demographic analysis showed that almost all students (96.5%) were female with two-third had age range of 19-24 years old. The frequencies in laboratory using among three-year students were similar at 1-3 times per month (60%) and 4-6 times per month (30%). All of the instructors were female and half of them had the age range 41-50 years old. Most of the instructors used the laboratory 1-3 times per month. Also, Most of the students and instructors presented similar high value of satisfaction towards five aspects of laboratory services with the highest average satisfaction value in personnel. The high average satisfaction values were equal in both aspects of tool, equipment, and facilities. The students and instructors presented average number and average satisfactory value over 80% in all aspects.Conclusion This study is beneficial for the development of the guideline to improve laboratory services provided in the Faculty of Nursing to meet the highest satisfaction among students and Instructors. The realization among administrative committee, instructors, and personnel to increase laboratory services’ capacity created nursing practicum readiness resulting in reducing stress among nursing students when they are practice in clinic. Finally, nursing students will happily conduct nursing care to the patient with high quality.Downloads
