การศึกษาข้อมูลที่จาเป็นเพื่อการพัฒนาหลักสูตรปริญญาวิทยาศาสตรดุษฎีบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาสุขศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT FOR SRINAKHARINWIROT UNIVERSITY’S DOCTOR OF SCIENCE PROGRAM WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN HEALT
Abstract
This research study was a descriptive study of curriculum development for SrinakharinwirotUniversity’s Doctor of Science program with a specialization in health education. The purpose of study were to examine opinions toward characteristics of health educators, competencies for health educators, to study curriculum structure of this doctoral degree program, and to study possibility of opening Doctor of Science program with a specialization in health education.Methods : This study used documentary and quantitative research. Subjects were 171 master degree graduate holders (26 males 145 females) from 7 universities. And this study also used qualitative research. Subjects were 14 experts (4 males 10 females), 5 users (4 males one female) and 14 colleagues (4 males 10 females). The essential data were collected by 1) document analysis of Doctor of Science program with a specialization in health education in Thailand and International countries, 2) sending questionnaires to master degree graduate holders and 3) depth interviews with experts, users and colleagues.Results : The result revealed that 1) Competencies for health educators were personality, leadership, academic performance, research and evaluation performance, social responsibility, health care and health behavior modification performance, work performance and professional development; 2) Admission consideration requires application of the following criteria : graduate or professional degree, age, grade point average, English Language Skills, work experience, research proposal presentation, and vision presentation; 3) Desired characteristics of Doctor of Science program with a specialization in health education were self development, academic performance development, research and evaluation skill, health education performance skill, and professional development; 4) Philosophy of this doctoral degree program have ten perspectives as follows : health development, health care, healthy, health education, health behavior modification, health leadership, health management leader, health promotion, health education researcher and health education professional; and 5) Outcome of this doctoral degree program have four perspectives as follows : specialist/ health education leadership/ health educationresearcher and health education academic leadership, health promotion, and health education development.Conclusion The results of this study found that there were agreement of experts and colleagues about less possibility of opening Doctor of Science program with a specialization in health education at Srinakharinwitor University.Downloads
