Abstract
Communication strategies come in hand when learnersû communication competencein the target language is insufficient. This article examines various definitions of communicationstrategies and how they can be used effectively in order to improve studentsû communicativecompetence. It also presents methods teachers can carry out in practice for the training ofcommunication strategies. The Bottom-Up Approach is applied to show how such training canfit in classroom teaching.Downloads
