Abstract

This research studied the conditions and problems of team preparing of football teams in Suphan Buri that participated in the Suphan Buri League Cup and to looked for methods to developed the football teams in Suphan Buri. The purposes of this research were 1) to studied the conditions and problems of team preparing of football teams in Suphan Buri that participated in the Suphan Buri League Cup 2) to looked for the solutions of the problems of team preparing of football teams in Suphan Buri that participated in the Suphan Buri League Cup. The samples that used in this research were 10 members of competition’s technical committee, 52 school administrators or team managers, 52 coaches or assistant coaches and 216 athletes, total 330 samples. The amount of samples came from Taro Yamane’s method (Taro, 1973: 727-728) at the 0.95 reliability level. The research found that Opinions about the conditions and problems of preparing the football team in Suphan Buri Province are as follows: 78.98% of samples had problems about athletes selection. The level of the problems was high (average: 4.11; S.D.: 0.44)77.19% of samples had problems about athletes’ condition. The level of the problems was high (average: 4.01; S.D.: 0.27)82.42% of samples had problems about coaching staff. The level of the problems was high (average: 4.71; S.D.: 0.22)77.72% of samples had problems about training. The level of the problems was high (average: 4.16; S.D.: 0.26)84.37% of samples had problems about planning process. The level of the problems was high (average: 4.29; S.D.: 0.30)50.88% of samples had problems about athletes budget and welfares. The level of the problems was highest (average: 4.68; S.D.: 0.16) 72.46% of samples had problems about training place and facilities. The level of the problems was high (average: 3.92; S.D.: 0.31)
