This quasi-experimental research was conducted to study the effects of health educationprogram applying self-efficacy theory towards weight control behavior of overweight students in HighSchool educational Office, Zone 2. The samples were divided into two groups. The experimentalgroup consisted of 30 overweight students in Phrakhanong Pittayalai School received health educationprogram applying self-efficacy theory. The control group consisted of 30 overweight students inTriamudomsuksa Patanakran School received regular health education program. The data werecollected by questionnaire and were then analyzed through percentage, mean, standard deviation,dependent samples t-test and independent samples t-test. The results indicated that after receiving thehealth education program applying self-efficacy theory, the students in experimental group had theweight control behavior better than before receiving health education program with statisticallysignificant difference at .05 level and the students in experimental group had the weight controlbehavior better than the students in control group with statistically significant difference at .05 level.
