Abstract
Learning Development with Social Cognitive Theory of Students through Educational Television Video of Thai PBS Abstract This study draws on the basic form of Albert Bandura’s social cognitive theory, whose purpose was to evaluate the changing of learning and social-cognitive development in students, by comparing an experimental group of students using Thai Public Broadcast media in the General Education at Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand. The participants were 625 first years taking two subjects; SWU 141 and SWU 151 in the first semester of academic year 2014; 308 in experimental groups and 317 in control groups, selected by simple random sampling. The experimental groups were taught using Thai Public Broadcast media, the others were taught without Thai Public Broadcast media and each group were tested eight times. Seventeen instruments were applied. The findings were as follows: The cognitive domain and communication skills in psychomotor domain of learning behavior of students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of other groups at .05 level on items such as self-efficacy.
