Abstract
Thisarticle aims to introduce the book "Doing Visual Ethnography" writtenby Sarah pink, who is a Professor of media design and ethnography at the RoyalMelbourne Institute of technology in Australia, and is a Professor of AppliedSocial and Cultural Analysis at Halmstad University in Sweden. An overview ofthe book introduces the history of ethnography, ethical issues in ethnographicand theory, creating ethnographic knowledge and ethnographic representation.Ethnography is a research route through complex society that could not beimplemented successfully in one day (Fetterman, 2010). Therefore, to obtain ahigh quality research results which could reflect cultures, behaviors and factsof ethnic groups, researchers should have a basic knowledge about various datacollections in order to be able to select a data collection method that suitswith a particular circumstance. Hence, this book is useful for guiding studentsand researchers who are interested in performing ethnography to prepare andselect a data collection method which could answer research problems as well ascreate reliable knowledge.
