Abstract

This research paper studies essential conditions making the for the efficient functioning of DSM by Hat with VE technique to be efficient, both as working techniques of specialists and as applied techniques for workers in industrial factories. As DSM by Hat with VE was developed from a management technique called Value Engineering (VE), the scope of the study was define into surveying for both existing concepts of VE and newly introduced concept using in the technique of DSM by Hat. It also studies training techniques specialists used with his VE team together with his factory auditing techniques. The movements occurring along the processes in 5 industrial factories participating in the project were studied. The research’s results could be concluded as follows: The DSM by Hat with VE, when used with human being, changes the meaning of “value” in evaluation from “function utility” (relative to objective) to “value-in-itself”. Furthermore, there are several new concepts created such as the concept of prompt recognition (intuition), the concept of problem owner, the concept of “time”, the concept of organizational nervous system.
