Abstract
This research aimed to study and compare public and school librarian participantsûlevels of information literacy skills (IL) between the pre and post IL training, and their opinionsabout the training. The populations were 57 librarians. The semi-experimental and surveymethods were used in this study. The data were statistically analyzed through percentage, mean, and standard deviation distributions, and the hypotheses were tested by t-testindependent. The result showed that the participantsû post-training levels of informationliteracy skills were higher than the pre-training levels, with the statistically significantdifferences of 0.5. The mean score of the posttest was slightly higher than the criteria. Asfor the comparison of the levels of IL classified by their LIS degree and work experiences, the results revealed that there was no difference. The participantsû overall satisfaction levelswere very high ( X =4.35). All of them (100.00) realized the importance and necessity ofIL to their works and they would like to participate in a similar kind of training again.Downloads
