Abstract

This research article aimed to determine the employersû satisfaction andexpectation towards the Bachelor Programûs graduates in Library and InformationScience, Srinakharinwirot University and their desirable characteristics. The researchalso aimed at investigating graduatesû opinions of course contentûs application in theprogram and desirable characteristics of library and information science graduates.The findings showed that the most of the employers were not librarians and workedin non-library organizations. The desirable characteristics of graduates in theknowledge-based society included personality and human relationship; knowledgeand competencies in organizational management; and knowledge and skill ininformation technology. The analysis of relationships between variables showed thatdifferent year of completion and different work status of the graduates did not affecttheir opinions about course content in the program. The graduatesû opinion towardsdesirable characteristics of graduates was similar to that of the employers.
