TUM TEAV: MAJOR KHMER LITERATURE COMPOSED BY SANTHOR MUK AND EDITED BY BOTUMTHERA SOM

Abstract

The paper is a comparative study in Khmer Literature ùTum Teavû, compared withCambodian historical texts, and two versions of Tum Teav: composed by Santhor Mok andby Venerable Botumthera Som. The study shows a lot of differences between two versions ofTum Teav; this may results from the fact that the version of Venerable Botumthera Som was onlyedited from the incomplete version of Santhor Mok.Key word Tum Teav Cambodian Literarure Comparative Literature
